The Start of The NBA Season
I watched the open games of the NBA season yesterday but I was not impressed at all. I know there are going to be a lot of mistakes because this is the first game, but I have a problem with the players being out of shape and not playing hard. It makes me not want to be a fan because back in the glory years(80's some 90's) of the NBA, the players had pride in their profession . Every game the players played hard and they did not take games or even months off. People ask me if I watch the NBA and I say not until February because that is when the players actually start playing hard. The star players start turning up their games because they are getting ready for the playoffs. This is the main reason why the league has gone down. If anyone has a comment about the NBA please leave me a comment.

how do you know when to stop?
In practice yesterday, we had a player come back from being injured. He has not practiced in about a month, and has just been able to ride an exercise bike for about 2 weeks. He was struggling doing the work-out and the running. The trainers wanted to pull him out of practice but we as a coaching staff said he need to fight through it, So my question is how do you know to keep pushing the players or to cut them a break? It very hard to determine because we want players to be tough and to have to a never quit attitude. Please leave comments if you have any information.

How long does it take to get into shape?
We have one player on the team that has to sit out the first semester, and can not particpate in any team functions. How long would you say it would take a person to get into basketball shape? I know everyone is different but for arguement sake what do you think would be the average amount of weeks? It is right now October 16 and his is egilible to play December 14 so when should he start training?

The best condition athletes?
I feel that boxers are the best conditioned athletes because they have to fight for 12 rounds of 3 minutes, and hit the next person and get hit by the other person. Some people would say 3 minutes is not a long time but trying to move and hit someone that is plenty of time. Trust me if you every been in a fight you know that is enough time. People usually don't even fight this long.No other sports can compare to the conditioning that these athletes have to be in! If you think another sports athlete has to be in better please post your opinion.
